Travel Plan Process

A workplace travel plan is unique to the needs of each workplace, though all travel plans involve five simple, manageable stages as shown in the diagram below.

Setup phase Research Plan Implement Monitor and continuous improvement

This website helps you work through this five stage process to identify travel issues that affect your business and develop actions to address them. It should be emphasised at this point that any actions you choose should be appropriate, achievable and affordable – those which you have the time and resources to complete.

These pages provide you with step-by-step guidance on how to approach each of the 5 stages and measure your progress. As you move through each stage, specific resources and tools becomeavailable to help you. A checklist is provided at the end of each stage so you can be sure that you are ready to move on.

There is no set timeline for moving from one stage to the next, however as a small business you should be able to complete the first four stages (set up to implementation) within 6 months in order to keep up the momentum of your plan. Once you have completed these four stages your plan becomes a matter of continuous improvement (stage 5) which will rely on ongoing staff commitment as well as the evaluation of your plan and the implementation of further identified actions.

We wish you the very best in achieving your goals so that you and your workplace get TravelWise!
